Deliveroo Shop & Deliver UK: How It Works and Is It Worth It?

Deliveroo Shop & Deliver pays riders to pick the customer's shopping as well as deliver it. But a bigger fee is not automatically a better job: supermarket time, queues, mileage and vehicle costs decide what you actually keep. This guide explains the official UK process and a practical way to judge each offer.

Researched on 27 October 2026. This is an independent GrabFinds guide based on Deliveroo's published rider information, not a claim that we have personally completed a Shop & Deliver order. Availability and app instructions may change.

What is Deliveroo Shop & Deliver?

Instead of collecting a bag already prepared by shop staff, you find the customer's items in store, pay with a virtual Deliveroo Rider Card and take the order to their door. Deliveroo's current UK FAQ names Aldi. That does not establish that every Aldi participates.

The announcement dated 22 September 2026 describes a trial followed by a phased rollout. Riders are notified when eligible. We have not found a complete confirmed area list, a nationwide launch date or confirmation that it is available to every Blackpool or Fylde rider. Check your own Rider app rather than assuming a national announcement means local access.
