Community Guidelines
Last updated:
User-generated content
Posts in the GrabFinds Community are written by individual members and do not represent the views of GrabFinds. GrabFinds does not verify the accuracy of member posts.
The GrabFinds Community is a members-only space for discussing side hustles, sharing experiences and supporting fellow members. These guidelines apply to all user-generated content and activity on GrabFinds, including posts, replies, images, reactions, votes and profile information. By participating you agree to follow these guidelines. Content you submit represents you, not GrabFinds.
1. Purpose and scope
These guidelines apply to all content and activity in the GrabFinds Community and other user-generated areas of the platform, including:
• Posts and replies/comments
• Images and file uploads
• Reactions and votes
• Community discussions
• Challenge-related community interactions
• Profile information
Content submitted by members represents the individual member, not GrabFinds. GrabFinds does not verify the accuracy of member posts and is not responsible for member-submitted content.
2. Respectful behaviour
GrabFinds is a supportive community. Treat other members with respect.
The following are prohibited:
• Harassment of any kind
• Bullying or targeted abuse
• Threats of violence or harm
• Intimidation
• Coordinated harassment or pile-ons
• Hate speech or discriminatory abuse based on any protected characteristic, including race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age
• Content designed to humiliate, demean or distress another person
Disagreement is fine. Personal attacks are not.
3. Illegal content and activity
You must not post, upload, request, encourage or facilitate illegal content or illegal activity.
This includes but is not limited to:
• Terrorism-related content, including promotion of, glorification of or recruitment for terrorist organisations
• Threats of violence or incitement to violence
• Fraud, scams and deceptive schemes
• Content related to controlled drugs offences
• Weapons-related illegal activity
• Human trafficking or exploitation
• Sexual exploitation
• Child sexual exploitation and abuse (see section 4)
• Non-consensual intimate images (see section 6)
• Content that illegally encourages or assists suicide or serious self-harm (see section 5)
• Any other content or activity prohibited by UK law
This list is not exhaustive. GrabFinds may act on any content that appears to be illegal or harmful, whether or not it falls within a listed category.
4. Child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA)
GrabFinds has a zero-tolerance policy on child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The following are strictly prohibited:
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
• Sexual exploitation of children
• Grooming of children or young people
• Sexualisation of minors in any form
• Requests for sexual content involving minors
• Sharing, distributing or facilitating access to such material
If GrabFinds becomes aware of suspected CSEA content, it will be restricted immediately. Where the statutory reporting duty applies, GrabFinds will report using the National Crime Agency Child Sexual Exploitation & Abuse Industry Reporting Portal (CSEA-IRP), or another legally applicable equivalent reporting route.
The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) operates a public hotline where anyone can report child sexual abuse material online at iwf.org.uk. This is a separate public reporting service and is not a substitute for GrabFinds' statutory provider-reporting obligation.
Do not download, save or redistribute suspected illegal imagery. If you encounter such content, report it immediately using the in-product report function.
5. Suicide and serious self-harm
Content that illegally encourages or assists suicide or serious self-harm is prohibited.
Supportive discussion that does not encourage or facilitate harm is permitted. GrabFinds recognises that open conversation about mental health can be valuable.
If you or someone else appears to be in immediate danger, please contact emergency services (999 in the UK) rather than relying on a GrabFinds report. Reporting to GrabFinds is not a substitute for emergency help.
Useful resources:
• Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24/7)
• Crisis text line: text SHOUT to 85258
• NHS urgent mental health support: 111
6. Sexual and intimate content
GrabFinds is not an adult content platform. The following are prohibited:
• Non-consensual intimate images (sometimes called "revenge porn") — sharing or threatening to share intimate images without consent is a criminal offence in the UK
• Sexual exploitation of any person
• Sexual content involving minors (see section 4)
• Any other illegal sexual content
• Explicit sexual content not appropriate for a general-audience platform
Content of a sexual nature that does not fall within the above prohibitions may still be removed if it is not relevant to the GrabFinds community purpose.
7. Scams, fraud and misleading content
GrabFinds is built on honest sharing. The following are prohibited:
• Scams of any kind
• Phishing attempts
• Fraud or deceptive schemes
• Fabricated or misleading earnings evidence
• Fake challenge evidence
• Deliberately deceptive offers or opportunities
• Credential theft or attempts to obtain others' login details
• Malware, malicious links or harmful code
• Impersonating a legitimate business, opportunity or service
If you share earnings figures or results, they must be genuine and represent your own experience. Do not present others' results as your own.
8. Privacy and doxxing
Sharing another person's private or sensitive information without a lawful reason or their permission is prohibited.
This includes:
• Home addresses
• Private telephone numbers
• Financial information
• Login credentials or passwords
• Identity documents
• Private correspondence
• Other sensitive identifying information
This applies whether the information is about another member, a third party or a public figure. The fact that information may be technically findable elsewhere does not make sharing it here acceptable.
9. Impersonation
Deceptive impersonation is prohibited. You must not impersonate:
• Other GrabFinds members
• GrabFinds staff or moderators
• Businesses or brands
• Government bodies or public authorities
• Any other individual
This applies where the impersonation is intended to deceive or mislead. Parody or satire that is clearly labelled as such is treated differently, but GrabFinds reserves the right to remove content that causes confusion or harm.
10. Spam and advertising
The following are prohibited:
• Spam — repetitive, unsolicited or low-quality posts
• Repetitive self-promotion across multiple posts or channels
• Undisclosed advertising or affiliate promotion where disclosure is required
• Posting the same content multiple times to increase visibility
• Automated posting
Approved promotion must follow GrabFinds' rules. If you are sharing an affiliate link or sponsored content, you must disclose this clearly. GrabFinds may remove promotional content that does not comply with these rules or applicable advertising standards.
11. Intellectual property
Only upload or share material you own or have the right to use.
This means:
• Do not copy and paste substantial portions of third-party articles, guides or other content without permission
• Do not upload images, videos or files you do not own or have a licence to share
• Do not reproduce copyrighted material in a way that infringes the rights holder
If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed by content on GrabFinds, please contact us via the contact page. GrabFinds will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content.
12. Member responsibility
You are responsible for the content you submit to GrabFinds.
Community content is not automatically verified by GrabFinds. You should not treat community posts as guaranteed financial, legal, tax or professional advice. Always do your own research and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.
If you are unsure whether content you want to post is appropriate, err on the side of caution or contact us before posting.
13. Reporting content
If you see content that may violate these guidelines, please report it.
How to report:
• Posts and replies: use the Report option on the post or reply
• Images/uploads: use the Report option on the post containing the image
• Users: use the Report option on the member's profile or content
Reports are reviewed by authorised GrabFinds moderation staff. We aim to review reports promptly, but cannot guarantee a specific response time.
For serious or urgent matters — particularly anything involving illegal content, CSEA or immediate risk of harm — do not rely solely on the GrabFinds reporting system. Contact the relevant authorities directly. The GrabFinds report function is not an emergency service.
14. Moderation and enforcement
GrabFinds moderators and staff may take action on content or accounts that violate these guidelines or our Terms & Conditions.
Possible actions include:
• No action (if the report does not disclose a violation)
• Warning issued to the member
• Content hidden or restricted from member access or visibility
• Content removed
• Temporary account suspension
• Permanent account ban
• Other proportionate restrictions
Serious or apparently illegal content may be restricted immediately while it is reviewed. GrabFinds aims to act swiftly when it becomes aware of illegal content and to minimise the time such content remains accessible.
Moderation decisions are recorded. GrabFinds may preserve relevant records and make disclosures to authorities where required or permitted by law.
15. Complaints and appeals
If you disagree with a moderation decision affecting your content or account, you may submit a complaint or appeal.
How to appeal:
Visit /community/appeals to submit your appeal. You will need to provide details of the decision you are challenging and the reasons you believe it should be reviewed.
Appeals are reviewed by a member of the GrabFinds team who was not involved in the original decision where possible. We will consider the information you provide and the relevant guidelines, and notify you of the outcome.
GrabFinds may reject complaints or appeals that are abusive, frivolous, clearly duplicative or outside the scope of the complaints process. Nothing in these Guidelines limits any complaint or appeal that GrabFinds is required to provide under applicable law.
16. Changes to these guidelines
GrabFinds may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the GrabFinds Community after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
